Steps you can take during a GridRewards event
Warm it up
Raise your air conditioning temperature by four degrees or so.
Clean later
Shift your washer, dryer, and dishwasher use outside the event window.
Unplug
Unplug your electronics — from phone chargers to electric vehicles, it all counts.
Close the shades
Keeping the sun out helps keep your rooms cool without air conditioning.
Lower the lights
Flip off your light switches, or dim just the necessary lights while it's dark.
Relax
Use the time as an excuse to get outside, ride your bike, take a nap, or meet up with friends.
